The little mermaid
Ariel was 16 years old, she dreamt of knowing the world of humans and she fell in love with Eric, a prince.
Her father, a king called Tritone, didn't want that she went on the land. So, Ariel went to a sea witch called Ursula, who gave her legs in change of her voice.
Ariel had two best friends: a little fish called Flounder and a red crab, Sebastian.
With their help, she abandoned her house to conquer the prince in a competition against time.
After many adventures, the beautiful princess married the prince and they lived all the rest of their lives in great happiness.
The story teaches that we must believe in our dreams because they can begin in reality.
The principal characters are:
Ariel: she was 16 years old. She was a beautiful little mermaid who dreamt of knowing the world of the humans. She had red long hair and blue eyes. Her mother died, she had only a father called Tritone and seven sisters. She also had two friends called Flounder and Sebastian.
She had fallen in love with Eric, a prince.
Eric: he was a young prince. He had short black hair and blue eyes. He was very nice and rich.
Ursula: she was an ugly sea-witch. She also was bad, fat and old. She had white hair and grey eyes.
Tritone: he was Ariel's father and he was a widow. He was old, he had long grey hair and black eyes.
The principal themes are love and friendship.
The style of this story is very simple because it is written for children.
